Adoption Process

I have worked out a process that serves a few purposes. First, it weeds out potential threats to my animals. Predators will look at free ads & I need to make sure & verify that my little friend will also be your little friend. Second, , it ensures that the potential adopter is serious about having a new animal in their lives to care for and there is no spur of the moment decisions. Then third, I also help you to understand all that goes into the care & feeding of your new animal & what responsibility that would entail in your life to help you make the right choice.

Meet & Greet

I like to start the asoption process by meeting one another & letting you meet the animals you will potentially adopt.

You schedule a time with me to come over and meet the potential adoptees and discuss a wide range of pet related subjects from feeding & baths to past ezperience and present goals. You get to hold, pet & otherwise meet your potential new pet & see if you "click" & chat about what it would be like to have that particular animal in your life right now.

At the end of our visit, after all quetions we can think of have been asked & answered, you will be asked to think about the next step.

My Visit

The next step is you inviting me to yuor home. Preferably after you have acquired any cage or enclosure (if applicable) so that I can see when I come over.

I would like you to invite me over & show me where my animal would be living, should you adopt. We will talk about how you will specifically care for the animal you are adopting and you will sign the adoption papers and agree to all the terms. This really lets me see how my animal will be treated and imagine what a nice life you will provide!

After you have everything all set up and the paperwork is in order, its time for me to say good bye to my litle friends.

Coming Home!

So, you have met & fell in love with your new pets. I have seen what beautiful accomodations you will provide in their new home, we have signed all the appropriate paperwork so I need to say good bye.

After a day, 2 at the most, I will bring your new arrival to live in the space you have prepared for them. I will being with them each a house, food dish, water bottle, any toys they liked to play with, a month supply of pellet food, and some fresh dry timothy hay.

I will get them settled in, take some pictures, then leave you to your new lives, hoping in the future I get lots of pics & regular updates! :)
